The monthly market report, explained

The weekly report that goes out to subscribers isn't hand-written, and it isn't a different, softer set of numbers than what's on the live pages. It's generated straight from the same fee-netted, fillable-size-corrected data behind the order book widget — the report is a summary view of it, not a separate estimate.

What's in it

  • Spread trend — where the fee-netted breakeven sat this week against last week, and roughly what moved it.
  • Best-paying rail — which payment method carried the widest genuinely fillable spread, not just the widest top-of-book average.
  • Merchant behavior — notable reliability shifts among the advertisers actually active on that market, not a generic leaderboard.

Why automated, not written

Hand-writing a market report doesn't scale past one or two markets, and it introduces exactly the kind of inconsistency a maker shouldn't have to second-guess. An automated report is evergreen and repeatable across every market this site covers, at zero marginal cost per additional market — which is also why it doubles as the natural anchor for the mailing list rather than a one-off content piece.

Why per-market, not one global report

A single global report would have to either drown makers in markets they don't trade, or generalize across markets that don't behave the same way — MAD and NGN have different rail structures, different competition levels, and different fee schedules in practice. A report scoped to the market you actually subscribed for is the only version of this that's useful every single week.

Where to see it

Subscribe on the report page to get it for your market, or check the live rate page for any market to see the same underlying numbers the report draws from, updated continuously rather than weekly.
